After the Linda 7” Budabeats Records presents another Linda related release. On the tapes coming from the Vukán archive beside the original two other themes were found which remained unreleased aswell. Now the three themes get the remix treatment by five Hungarian producers and one band: Marcel, Dj Bootsie, Sirmo, Bodoo & MRBL, Suhov and the Kettő Kettő Dance Orchestra reworked the originals for your listening and dancing pleasure.
Composer György Vukán (1941-2013) was a fixture of the Hungarian Jazz scene with countless performances (both international and in Hungary) and almost 100 record releases. He compsed the main theme in a classic 70’s funky crime-jazz style (a’la Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones, etc.), very unusual for communist Hungary especially with such a rich orchestration. The series and the music itself is still iconic in Hungary but for mysterious reasons the soundtrack was never released on any format, there was only a crappy Youtube link of the main title available.
