Budabeats Records celebrates it’s 10th anniversary in 2018, on this occasion label bosses Dj Gandharva & Von Yodi picked 11 previously unheard tracks from artists of the Budabeats family and created a compilation that perfectly represents the imprint’s musical approach: no restrictions in terms of genre or style, the only thing that matters is the quality of the music. Shades Of Budabeats features African-influenced jazz and funk (Dokkerman & the Turkeying Fellaz, The Mabon Dawud Republic), head-nodding hip-hop beats (Àbáse, Tom Caruana), straight dancefloor friendly pieces (Bété aka Suhov, Umoja, M.W.D, Chilum Trio, Auto Reverse) and also laidback grooves (Freakin’ Disco, Crookram). All kinds of good vibes that will feed your soul and make your body move.

Why do you love this album? Well, it is the quality of ALL the Analog Africa releases , the astonishing presentation- artwork, AWESOME booklets, the mastering, the music first of all and the feeling you connect with it and the artists involved. Due to not earning enough I changed from vinyl to CDs, but I am glad for the high quality downloads of the vinyl only releases that you are able to burn to disc. Together with a chosen few others AA is a greater than great label. Period. Markus Bader
